This guide covers installing Clutch, setting up an account, and creating your first project. If you’re ready to connect Clutch to WordPress and start building, continue with the First Steps Guide.
1. Download and Install Clutch
- Go to Clutch’s download page.
- Install the application.
2. Sign Up and Verify Your Email
Step 1: Create a Clutch Account
- Open the Clutch app or visit app.clutch.io/sign-up.
- Sign up with Google or manually.
- Click Sign Up.
Step 2: Verify Your Email
- Check your email inbox for a verification message from Clutch.
- Click the "Verify email address" button in the email.
- If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder or click Resend it on the verification page.
3. Open Clutch and Sign In
- After verifying your email, go back to app.clutch.io.
- Sign in with your credentials.
- If you downloaded the desktop app, you’ll be prompted to "Open the desktop app".
4. Create Your First Workspace
- Once logged in, you’ll be asked to create a workspace.
- Enter a workspace name (e.g., “My Studio”).
- Click Next.
What is a Workspace?
A workspace is where you and your team collaborate on projects in Clutch.
6. Start Your First Project
- From the Clutch dashboard, click New Project.
- The New Project modal will appear with the WordPress template as the available option.
- Enter a Project Name and assign it to your workspace.
- Click Create Project.
The WordPress template includes essential libraries like:
- Marketing Library (page section templates)
- Elements Library (essential components)
- WordPress Library (queries for fetching WordPress data and a plugin to sync pages with WordPress)
- Lucide Icons
- Google Maps
- Video Player
- Google Analytics
