The central canvas of a Clutch project is context dependent and tied to the current, active, workspace. It lays out the frames of the workspace at their specified position and size, each labelled outside of their render area with a frame label.
The controls for navigating the canvas can be found in the central tool bar of the application bar.
You can pan the canvas in the following ways:
- Scrolling with a mouse or trackpad
- Holding Space to activate the hand tool
- Using the hand tool found in the application bar
You can zoom in and out of the canvas in the following ways:
Holding Ctrl / Cmd ⌘ while scrolling with a mouse or trackpad
- Ctrl / Cmd ⌘ + + or -
- Ctrl / Cmd ⌘ + Alt + 1 to fit the canvas content
- Ctrl / Cmd ⌘ + Alt + 2 to fit the selected frame
- Using the zoom control found in the application bar
Note: If using a trackpad to use 'pinch to zoom' functionality does not work while frame is selected and mouse is inside of that selected frame. To use 'pinch to zoom' functionality in the workspace click out of frame and functionality will work.
The selection tool allows users to select components in their project using their pointer device on the canvas.
The interaction tool allows users to use their application while it runs. Interaction mode also removes all component highlighting.
The frame tool allows you to draw rectangles on the frame in order to create new frames.
